Swallows – earrings

Silver earrings with a swallow motif. They carry large, black, baroque pearls and drops of Ethiopian opals. On their bodies small, dark blue sapphires are set, single for each bird. I consider this project to be one of my most successful works, because in such a delicate form I managed to keep the lightness and agility of the swallows’ movement, which in combination with the asymmetrically hanging pearls seem extremely mobile and dynamic.

The piece was showcased during an exhibition in the Distrcit Museum in Toruń, Poland (2023).

2 black pearls (approx. 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm), 2 Ethiopian opals, 2 sapphires (1.2 mm dia.)
