Moon Bumblebee

Bumblebees are one of my favorite themes. Popular (but wrong) anecdote says, that  these cute creatures that, due to their mass, according to the laws of physics, should not be able to lift themselves on their little wings – and fortunately for bumblebees, they haven’t heard of this law of physics and they fly.

This bumblebee is a pin, just like its other, black friend – so that both of them can decorate collars, hats, etc. 

The piece was showcased during the “Fairy tales written with silver” exhibition in the Distrcit Museum in Toruń, Poland (2023) and during GemGeneve in Geneva, Switzerland (2023).

It has a wonderful specimen of moonstone that gives it a “magical” aura accompanied by 6 orange sapphires. As befits a magical creature, its entire body and legs are decorated with detailed ornaments. Some bumblebee fragments are gold-plated.
