This is the second part of the 3rd episode of Gem Session – Emeralds (there will be three parts all together). This part is more concentrated on practical, professional knowledge and it is delivered by Maria Skwark – Madame Karat.
It tells:
1. how a professional can tell if an emerald is real and what tools can a non-professional use to have a general idea if something might be an emerald;
2. why emeralds crack so easily;
3. what makes an emerald beautiful
4. and so expensive.
Part 1 is general introduction to the topic;
Part 2 is concentrated on sharing more professional and practical gemological knowledge;
Part 3 will be devoted to emerald curiosities and their role in various cultural circles.
The whole third episode of Gem Session is all about emeralds. Although it is recorded in Polish, I added English subtitles. The special guest is Maria Skwark, known as Madame Karat (Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/madame.karat and https://www.instagram.com/madamekarat_pl ), gemologist certified by the Gemological Institute of America. She will share her professional gemological knowledge, while I (Iwona Tamborska) will be responsible for the interesting facts and legends surrounding emeralds.
As usual, I emphasize that I create these videos myself – so they certainly fall far short of professional quality. Therefore, please forgive any imperfections. Because I create them out of pure passion and a desire to share my knowledge of what I consider treasures, this work is completely unpaid. If you find this video valuable and would like to express your appreciation for my work, you can buy me a “virtual coffee” at https://buycoffee.to/iwonatmb It would mean a lot to me 😊
In the meantime, I invite you to watch the second part of the third episode of “Gem Session: Emeralds”!
