Ares – silver button from the “Gods of Olympus” series
Ares – Greek god of war, patron of conflict, destruction and cruelty. Ares did not have a wife, he only had a lover, who was known to all of Olympus. She was the beautiful goddess of love Aphrodite, wife of Hephaestus.
In mythology, however, he was not a clearly negative figure, because it was Ares who showed people what heroism and courage are. His attributes are a sword, armor and shield.
On his forehead, under a raised helmet, he has a ruby (fi 1.5 mm, 0.02 ct) placed in a crown. This stone corresponds to Ares’ planet – Mars.
