Bernstein – ring

Silver ring inspired by the idea of fire and its flames. Amber is called in German “burning stone” (“Bernstein”) because it can be burned. This feature has long been used in the production of incense, as smoldering amber produces a pleasant resinous scent. I cut my piece of white amber into an irregular drop (and it smelled delicious – like Coca-Cola). The openwork form of silver surrounding it was supposed to resemble flames dancing around an amber.
