Blue tit – necklace

I consider this necklace to be one of the most graceful works I have ever done. Just looking for stones in the right shade and size took me several days of intense work, phone calls and comparisons. The idea behind the selection of colors was to find a blue shade associated with the blue tit. This effect in the necklace was obtained by 3 strings of faceted fluorite, threaded in such a way that they cascade first from 3 to 2, and then to 1, continued by a string of more massive morganites. Morganite is supposed to be associated with the colors of the sky at sunrise, when the tit is starting to look for food and at the same time associated with the berries nibbled by the tit. The bird is carved from silver, gold-plated. The balance of the arrangement of the tit is ensured by 2 silver weights, which are also part of the necklace’s fastening: one of the weights is threaded through a loop made of a branch with berries. The weight is decorated with a yellow sapphire.
