Dandelion and mouse – pin

The second in a series of three harvest mice, which collects seeds from a dandelion. It is a project that I carried out with passion, at a time when I didn’t have much time for myself and for creative work. Whenever I found a moment, I was immersed in the realization of this beautiful, small form, which is technically very difficult at the same time. You can see that many dandelion fluffs have their stalks, the structure is openwork, and inside it sits an exact figure of a mouse. Since I am a lover of all mice and hamster-like creatures, carving it was preceded by a series of sketches teaching me to understand the shape of such a rodent.

In this version, the mouse got inside the dandelion ball and sticks out its head curiously, holding on to the stem with its tail. Dandelion is designed to be worn as a pin. There is a plug at the end, adorned with a white topaz. The pin is additionally decorated with a chain with faceted rock crystal balls and a drop made of Ethiopian opal (which I cut and polished myself). The mouse is black rhodium plated and the dandelion fluff is diamonted.
