Fortuna – brooch

20 000,00

The piece is inspired by the iconic work of Rene Lalique. Fortuna is the Goddess of Fate, which brings good luck, but also missfortune. The whole piece is decorated with elements in pink and green colors, where pink symbolizes happiness and green symbolizes bad luck. Her wings are decorated with these colors and also in her claws she holds a large ruby and emerald. She is like the judge who decides whether on the Scales of Destiny someone will get Joy (pink tourmaline hanging on a chain under the right hand) or Suffering (dark green tourmaline skull hanging under the left hand).

The goddess has the form of a golden/black dragonfly, a beautiful predator with emerald eyes. She has a venomous sting in her tail made of emerald, which causes pain, but her heart is made of ruby, which nevertheless symbolizes love. Behind her back is a string of pink-green pieces of watermelon tourmaline and emeralds – symbolizing good and bad moments in life.

The piece was showcased during an exhibition in the Distrcit Museum in Toruń, Poland (2023).
