Nucleosynthesis
The necklace shows a diagram of nucleosynthesis taking place in stars, i.e. the process of burning elements, resulting in the formation of new atomic nuclei.
Stars burn light elements (e.g. hydrogen), and as a result of this reaction, heavier elements (e.g. helium) and energy are created.
This necklace is a step-by-step diagram showing the course of this reaction. At the top of the necklace is a STAR (amethyst “sun”). Under the star there are 2 hydrogen nuclei (labradorites). Hydrogen in its simple form is made of only one proton. When these two hydrogens combine, they form another form of hydrogen, but with a neutron (moonstone) in the atomic nucleus – deuterium. In the process, a positron (labradorite) and a neutrino (pearl) are released. When deuterium and hydrogen combine, a large amount of energy is created (goldplated ball), they burn and form a helium-3 particle. When two Helium-3 particles combine, they form a Helium-4 particle and two individual hydrogen particles. And the whole process can repeat itself. This golden ball is the very energy that makes the stars burn, giving warmth and light to other planets. Over time, stars burn helium and other elements to form all the known elements in Mendeleev’s table, becoming so heavy that gravity crushes them, causing them to explode. The explosion of stars causes the spreading of all produced elements throughout the cosmos, which are the building material of matter, planets, our bodies.
