Undersea

This work won II place in the “Royal Stone”contest called: “Under the sea”.

The composition corresponds with soft lines, forms a little bit hurt by the sea salt and shellfish activity, – ex. part of a flooded antique sculpture, that might have been once a part of a temple or a ship (inspiration: http://img.xcitefun.net/users/2009/03/32121,xcitefun-unserwater-sculps-003.jpg ). Special feature of this necklace is what happens to it at night – it shows the ability to shine with fluorescent blue light (jellyfish, fins of the fish, stripes on the sting rays, crab). It is a fascinating quality, that some of sea creatures have, which I gladly used in this creation. So the necklace has two colour versions: beige-silver during the day and blue during the night.

You can find in the necklace’s details: 2 labradorite+silver fish, coral (made of silver), seashells (silver and natural ones), sting rays, jellyfish (hand-made with resin. I am very proud of them 🙂 ), crab (silver), starfish (silver, decorates the large white shell from the side). Also used materials correlate with the sea (seashells, real coral beads).

So it has two colour versions: beige-silver during the day and blue during the night.
