Wild Autumn Wind – necklace

This necklace is inspired by the splendor of autumn colors and the exceptionally windy weather of October 2025. Outside of my window, leaves swirled wildly in the wind, and in the background I could hear the music for “The Peasants” performed by L.U.C., Kayah, and the Song Laboratory: “Autumn – Dance.”

“Wedding news is already flying far into the world

Dance and dance like a wild autumn wind

For love, one and two, for love’s flower

Drink to love, brother, to love to the bottom

Hey, dance with us here, the floor is made of chips

Hey, dance with us here, upside down”

This momentum of the piece led me to schematically engrave a running herd of deer on the back of the autumn leaves. It’s actually a frame-by-frame analysis of deer running. I like this motif because it resembles the primitive, yet incredibly accurate drawings from the Lascaux Caves from the Paleolithic period.

Additionally, each leaf has its own mobility, allowing the necklace to jingle pleasantly with every movement.

The silver leaves are kept in the necklace in pearly white with embedded 24 k gold (and a mirror-like silver polish on the back of the leaves), and in black with embedded 24 k gold. The bronze leaves are kept in colours ranging from gold to brown to black.
