One of those two artists is Chris Gasiewicz, a several times awarded photographer, based in Frankfurt, Germany. He captures the essence of a person, by watching him/her in action. The background, chosen scale and colours of his works always make them a bit nostalgic and raw.
Not many people know that, but I used to be quite smart (or educated enough). There was a time, when I really wanted to get an artistic/scientific internship at an astronomical observatory in La Palma. Therefore I created a collection of astronomy-inspired jewelry objects, to run in that race.
Each year Legnica (Poland) hosts the „Silver Festival”, which main event is the goldsmithing contest. It’s contemporary art contest, expressd through small sculptures created with goldsmithing skills. I think this is the most aproppriate description. I took part in it 3 times already…
Not long ago one of my works joined a travelling jewelry exhibition “In my opinion” , that concentrates on gathering artists’ opinions on various themes, all shown in their narrative works. You can visit the exhibition until the 2020. It travels, so it appears in many different places.
