Butterfly and Haiku

Silver butterfly made as a gift for someone, who did a lot for me, expecting nothing in return. The butterfly body was suppoused to be made of a white stone with subtle gray vines. A piece of marble seemed perfect for this, so I cut and polished it to fit the butterfly. The wings are tonally coloured from black at the bottom-silver-white- to gold flakes at the top. Under the butterfly hangs a haiku poem, written on a piece of silver with my fingerprints.
