Poseidon – silver button from the series “Gods of Olympus”
Poseidon – Greek god of the sea, lakes, rivers, horses and earthquakes. He looked after sailors and fishermen. Poseidon’s attribute was a trident.
In the crown on his forehead is placed aquamarine (fi 1.5mm, 0.02 ct). Aquamarine, like green emerald, is a blue form of beryl and is classified as a precious stone. In ancient times, it was believed that aquamarine protects those who sail the sea, while giving them courage. It is supposed to have the healing properties of the sea, its peace, harmony and brightness.

Gods of Olympus
In Greek mythology, the gods who ruled the world and human life lived on top of Mount Olympus. There were 12 of them: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Hermes, Hephaestus, Athena, Ares, Artemis, Apollo, Aphrodite, Demeter, Hades. They were the inspiration for creating 12 buttons decorated with appropriate stones corresponding with a certain god.
